I bought my blood python about a year ago at a reptile show and since then I have had constant trouble with wrinkled eye caps. They are not retained eye caps after he sheds, his eyes are actually wrinkled. I have tried soaking him, and jacking up the humidity and nothing has worked. My other snakes that I keep in the same room are fine. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I would definitely take it to a vet for that.

Hey,
I would not worry too much about that, as this is a pretty common condition with bloods and short-tails, and does go away by its self. Increasing cage humidity often corrects it. It is not an illness or disease to worry about.

Yeah, don't worry about it.The eyecaps are there to protect the eye itself.Sometimes if the snake is sleeping or just leaning on the side of it's enclosure the eyecaps dent. You will get used to seeing it every now and then.Just raise the humidity or soak your blood and it should pop out,if not should cklear till the next shed.Good Luck.
