B. schlegelii - babies - MODEM WARNING

juksu Oct 10, 2006 01:37 AM

Female dropped these yesterday. All are these dull yellow with more or less patterns, zero green ones which is a shame.
Female is all yellow and male is green camo.

Total 10 babies
3 dead ones
3 infertile egg masses

Congrats juksu, you responded to a post I made a little while back about my eyelash viper with breeding info. I just got a male to go with my female so I may try putting them together in a month or so and see what happens. I'm sure once those little guys have their first shed they will be screamers. Then comes the fun of cutting up and braining pinkies to try to get them to eat. I have heard they are difficult to get started feeding and some have lost half their clutches because they wouldn't eat. Good luck with them, I hope they all do well for you.

Yes I have heard too that they can be difficult feeders..
But lets see how everything goes.

Thanks.

congrats! those are some beautiful litte guys/girls

i was just talking to a friend of mine the other day and he said that he used to use little pieces of steak to get his baby eyelashes to eat. i had never heard of this before, but it might be worth a shot if you get some reluctant feeders in that clutch. good luck with them!
