Kimberly Eggs Pipping

andrew owen Aug 06, 2003 10:08 AM

Christine sent me my camera two days ago after taking pics of her finschi. I missed the UPS truck yesterday. I will post pics of them tomorrow when I have my camera.

I went into the monitor room last night to check on the progress of the eggs. The eggs went limp two days ago, indicating they were about to hatch. I noticed one had mold growth on it, so I cut it to find a full term kimberly. Oh well, you live and you learn.

cheers, andrew

Does that mean that it didnt survive since you cut it open? Did it look like it would have been a viable hatchling?

yeah michelle, i think i killed the kimberly. i learned this lesson twice before (apparently not), once with fence lizard eggs i found when herping and once with mexican pine snakes, i shouldn't have cut it open.

Has it been that long already since they were laid? Seems like just a month ago?
