6 weeks old and changing already?

ghireptiles Oct 10, 2006 04:11 PM

These guys are getting more color and black flecking...and they are only 6 weeks old. I've got my fingers crossed for great things to happen with this litter.

This is a picture of three of the eleven babies the day they were born. Notice the two with the black flecks.

Here are the two with the black flecks as of yesterday. Yellow coming in on the one and a lot more black flecking on them. Look on the faces for the obvious changes.

For those that don't know...the parents of these are both sibling calico animals. Let me know what you think...

What do I think, those are awesome!

You don't suppose they or any of their siblings will become available via your website do you?

Again totally awesome!

WOW. killer snakes. always have loved arboreal snakes. captive bred atbs, awesome. never thought anyone would dedicate so much time to a snake with such limited appeal to the masses. glad you did though. thanx for the pix. i think its time i get one, or two. joe

No doubt they're going to be legends... Have you outcrossed either of the adults yet to try and get a handle on the genetics? I'm thinking dom/co-dom? Either way, you now have at least 2 morphs on my 'must have' list.

Hey Tom,

I bred the yellow candycane sibling called Lemon Drop to one of my tiger males and got tigers and yellows. I now have two calico candycane males so I will be breeding the new red calico to something to see what the genetics are. Can't wait to breed them again and next time Lemon Drop gats paired up with a candycane male...that's for sure!

They are amazing! Too bad you're your own best customer. I guess we'll just have to wait until you have an army of them breeding before you'll let any go. They look well worth waiting for. Put me on the list for '08 if there's any spaces open that soon, lol.

Keep the pics coming. Looks like they could be in for an absolutely astonishing change over the next year or so.
