Does anyone know if wild blueberries (the ones grown out in the forest with no exposure to any chemicals) is a safe fruit for uros to eat? They are small, perfect for a yearling uro.
Thanks

I talked to Doug Dix about this very thing a few months ago. This is what he said. Any "berry" is "ok" for a uro as long as you can get them to eat it as soon as it is in the tank and best if it is by hand. Here is the draw backs and the reason why I have choosen melons and flowers to feed mt uro. If you leave the fruit in you tank and the uro tramples through it some of the juice from the berries can get on the uro and get between the scales and cause a massive infection in no time. He said that this can even happen around the mouth if the uro gets the juice from the berries around his mouth and you don't happen to catch it. Hope this helps!

are you sure there blueberrys there are these plants by me that grow near the blueberrys that look just like them but have larger bunches of smaller berrys i dont know what they are so i dont know if their good for eating , just thought i should let you know incase those are around
Thanks for your help. Don't worry, I've known these are blueberries from the time I was a young child. I've lived near these forests and wild berries for years. Lucky for me that people often pick wild blueberries and sell them along the highway

They are fine, actually, they are really good for uros. esp. if they are in the middle of a shed. I dont know about anyone else, but my mali wont eat them, he doesnt like them at all.
Hope this helps
