I'm looking for these little green gems. Last year at the Tinely Park NARBC someone had them. I didnt have a chance to go over the weekend. Does anyone know who has or had them. I cant remember their name for anything. Please get ahold of me if you have any info that can help.

Thanks alot,

I think you should read this web page about them. Unless you can find a LEGAL breeder it's black market, and the cost would be in the thousands because of their rarity and protection status. They sure look cool though!!!

I know all about haveing to have CITES for them. All about how rare they are to find. The guy I'm looking for/talking about "said" he had all documents to own and breed them. He had WC and CB ones. He had them out in the open so if he wasnt legal maybe thats why I cant find him anymore lol.
Thanks,
Blake

It could be he moves around a lot. He could be legal? I was amazed at how much they would cost if you could get one...way beyond my budget!! Maybe you'll get lucky and find him again. It's funny because in New Zealand they are considered cheap pets, but their range is so small I can see why they would want to protect them. Keep your eyes open for that dealer, who knows you may see him again.

I wish they where that easy to get here. They are so pretty and from what I hear not to hard to keep. I think there should be more breeding of them so people in the hobby that want them can actually have them. I'll just have to keep my eyes and ears open at shows and talk to lots of breeders and see how it goes from there.

Thanks,
Blake

Here in Germany there are a few people legally breeding Naultinus species. However, they normally do not go to expositions and do no tell too many people about this part of their collection. Otherwise they end up with overflowing mailboxes and a bothering frequency of phone ringings.
Also they are afraid of people steeling their lizards, which are mostly kept in "normally secured" outdoor enclosures during summer.
In a nutshell: Yes, there are breeders, Yes, they do swap and also sell offspring in small numbers and for prices in the 1000$ range.
Afaik that is true for the US as well as for Germany.
But you have to find out a breeders address on your own. Having close contacts to a renowned gecko expert may help....

Best regards

Ingo

The only breeders I could think of that would have these geckos at that show might be either Jay Sommers (http://jaysommersreptiles.com/) or Alberto from A&M Gecko (http://amgecko.com/).

Both are well known breeders and know their stuff...good luck finding them.
