Water Bowls!

snakeball Oct 11, 2006 01:14 PM

How do I keep my water bowls from being tipped over. Everytime I clean and add new water they knock them over and I have to clean again so they don't get soaked. It sucks when that happens.

You can use velcro if you dont want to use PVC couplers and deil cups.

You can get it at walmart in the crafts section.

What are you keeping your balls in, racks or cages?

I keep my snakes in a rack and yes I do set their bowls on top of the aspen. Guess I will try heavier bowls and try not putting them on top of the aspen. Thanks

larger bowls
heavier bowls
crock type not plastic bowls......

........for shoe boxes use bowls that are high enough that it is actually impossible to tip them over....

.....I use crock bowls......6 ,7,8,9 inch and a couple even bigger........

.......are you using bedding? and setting bowls on top of bedding????

I make a hole in bedding for bowl to fit into so it sets on cage floor...

......I almost never have a flipped bowl......

........?......have fun

Bird seed cups. Cost about $1 each. Drill or melt holes into the side of your rubbermaid. Bend the wires of the cups slightly. No way they can tip!

I would recommend hot glueing a deli cup to the bottom of the tub and then setting a deli cup with water inside that one. Simply change it out. Works great.

Ok...they don't look very reptillian...but they're a buck at the dollar store, wider at the bottom and even the 2000 gram girls don't dump em.

a 4'PVC coupling from home depot and a 16oz deli cup. Instead of having to clean bowls, throw the deli cups away once a week or every ten days. I have never had a snake tip one of these over in my racks.

About $5 at Walmart & they are big enough for them to soak in if they want.
