water dragon or bearded dragon?

shaun59 Oct 11, 2006 06:45 PM

I have a homemade wooden tank, it is 5' long, 2' wide, and 2.5' tall. Im deciding between a water dragon and a bearded dragon. Anyone have any advice on what one makes a better pet? Thanks

While you have plenty of length and width a water dragon would like a bit more height.

Also they like a rather humid enclosure with a a large water pool/pool. In other words as the name implies they like water and high humidty so a wooden cage might not be the best. Unless its covered with FRP or something to that effect.

As far as a bet the bearded dragon tends to interact better with humans than the water dragon. Water dragons generally arent mean but they are faster dont take to handling quite as well as the beardeds.

I would vote for bearded.

a bearded would be more tame if thats what your looking for.
