best way to heat??

kylet Oct 11, 2006 08:02 PM

What would be the best way to heat sterilite storage containers. i have a plastic shelf that holds three of these containers. it seems it would be perfect for my two boas since im so sick of my homemade wooden cage that i cant get rid of mites in. The only methods of heating im familiar with are heat lamps an heat pads. should i look into flexwatt?? help with this would be very much appreciated..... i could post pics of the set up im talking about if that would help.

Flexwatt seems to be the heating method of choice for shelves and racks. It's definitely the cheapest. It's also completely flat, so it's easy to run it down the bottoms, and it doesn't get in the way like a heat pad does.

If i did go with flexwatt then where should i put it? ?On the bottom? Would it be safe since since the tub is plastic and the shelves are plastic? Sorry i dont know much about flexwatt it kinda confuses me. Also, how would i control the temps, would a dimmer work? Say i do put it on the bottom would i have to build the tub up so it doesnt come in contact with the shelf? i suppose i should use a size that still leaves a cool spot in the tub? id appreciate it so much if someone would help me understand this a litte more thanks alot! heres a pic of the shelf and one of the tubs i want to use is on the bottom, ill have to empty it of course
