Rack questions

Kingofspades Oct 13, 2006 11:42 AM

Ok, so I built a 7 slot rack for my snakes.
It's all wired up with 11" heat tape.
My question...
where should I put my probe for my Ranco?
Top, middle, bottom?
Does it matter?

I have two Helix thermostats, and what I did was measure the temperature of the tubs and placed the temp probe where it would measure approx. the same as the tub temperature. You may have to play with placement to achieve the same temperature. The other option is to note the temperature difference between the tub and the probe and adjust accordingly.
