Okay, I have 1.1 bearded dragons. I want to get some new species of lizard. How much can I expect to pay for an unrelated albino pair??? Or a high yellow??? What should the wattage for the heat pad be??? How many mealies can a adult eat at a time??? Please help.

normal adult albinos normally go for about 70-90 dollars a piece, but you can definitely find them cheaper at a show...you should set up your temperatures so that you're tank has a nice heat gradient normally from like 75-90 degrees, and as far as mealies, i let my adults eat until their little hearts are content, they consume a lot of food

To ensure the albinos are not closely related (any albinos of same strain will be related) you should get from two different suppliers, however I would not bother doing this if I were you, it is not neccessary. You can get a pair of yellow banded 6-8" albinos from Ron Tremper for $200 plus shipping. Golden Gate Gecko has a few Tremper albinos 12-22 grams for $50-$85 each. You can also check the Kingsnake Classifieds, there are always all kinds of geckos available there. If you go to a reptile show you may be able to get some for less. You can probably get a high yellow baby/juv for 25-45. Adults will cost you significantly more, as the breeder has had to care and feed for the for a year or so, and bring to breeding age. A normal adult will usually run you around $80, maybe $100 for a hi-yellow, and more for an adult albino. Albinos vary in price also depending on whether you get a normal yellow banded or or with other characteristics, like tangerine, jungle, hypo or patternless genes or phenotype. A top of the line tangerine Tremper albino can cost $800 and up, but like regular tangs, price varies on intensity of the orange. Remember that babies can often change a lot in color as they mature, for better or for worse.

If you get a reptile UTH it's determined by enclure size, look at the package, it will specify 10 gallon-20 gallon, 30-40 gallon etc... You can also use human pads. All UTH's need ventilation under the tank.

I have seen one of my adult geckos eat over 20 mealworms in a sitting!
