I have a couple of mussuranas from this year that I haven't gotten to feed on rodents just yet. They love eating snakes though. So a buddy of mine offered a few snakes from his freezer.

ONe of the snakes offered was a baby cornsnake that had died while eating another baby corn snake. It came complete with half-swallowed cornsnake in it's mouth.

What I watched was my snake, eating another snake that had been eating another snake. Kind of surreal.

Sorry, no pics. I didn't want to startle the snake with a flash. I just figured you guys might enjoy the story. Anybody else have any interesting captive feeder stories?

yeah, i got one for you dt. remember psycho b*tch, the wc yt that ate dean's arm a few years back? well one day shortly after that incident, i gave her a stunned, pretty big rat. she grabs it by the hindquarters & starts swallowing it when about halfway down to my shock & utter disbelief, the @*%# rat wakes up & starts screeching & trying to twist around to bite & fight back! i'm freaking out w/ no plan whatsoever having never, ever seen this before. but as i stood there, it quickly became apparent that the rat had no chance, none!? that yt just kept calmly munching away till at one point, the live rat's face was briefly [& kinda horrifically] framed by the yt's jaws & face. it was like a twilight zone moment, it just didn't seem right. then it disappeared quietly down the hatch w/ pyscho craning her neck, looking around & smacking her jaws like it was routine! it was a really quite a display of the jaw strength that drys possess as the rat was a pretty big one, pretty free but was completely & totally controlled nevertheless.
