More coneheads hatched

Melgrj7 Oct 13, 2006 10:33 PM

Well, more cone heads have hatched from the second clutch. One hatched yesterday (thrusday the 12th) and two were in the process of hatching when I left work today (friday the 13th), they were about halfway out. One more to go. The egg deflated today, so it will probably hatch tonight or tomarrow. I noticed the eggs deflate and then they hatch within a day. These babies look much better and bigger than the last clutch. I think the lower incubation temperature was better for them. They are so cute. I wonder if the mom will lay another clutch or not. Last time she laid about 3 weeks to a month after the first ones hatched. Pics soon of the new clutch and babies

What kind of incubator do you have?

A Deli cup. I just put some moist vermiculite in a deli cup type thing, poke holes in it and add eggs I then put it in an area with a stable and appropriate temperature (usually somewhere in the adults cage). I have hatched leopard geckos, bearded dragons and green anoles this way too.
