Question on reptiletubes.com

RobertIIII Oct 13, 2006 10:46 PM

So I was looking at reptile tubs and was wondering what everyone thought of them? are thier tubes really clear? or can I go to target and buy a rubbermaid just as clear? also I was wondering which tubes would be best for an adult Mexican Black Kingdnake, AN adult Texas Ratsnake and a adult Black pine snake. Currently all 3 of my snakes are hatchlins, but would like to start planning for their cages for when they are adults. so any help is appreciated. also what are their shipping prices like? Thanx again

One of my favorite reptile companies to deal with.

But I don't know if the Iris tubs are the best for those wanting a clear product. Their regular tubs are fairly standard for clarity but can cloud a bit over time, like any tub.

The clear Iris tubs can be seen at most any Office Depot or Office Max. They are a smaller size but you can get an idea of how clear the larger "clear" boxes will be.

Personally, I don't think the clarity is worth paying for when it can get cloudy from frequent cleaning. I'd rather buy a tub that I like and route a section out and put in an acrylic panel. At least that can be polished when it becomes scratched or cloudy. And then you can even select from the solid colored boxes if you want.

I don't have a picture of this, but there has been one for a Green Tree Python rack that I've stumbled across on various forums. Unfortunately I did not save a link.

I think Vision and Freedom breeder have boxes for their racks with windows. One other company as well. Should give you an idea.
