Hi, I have a virgin female leo gecko (no more virgin LOL)and I copulated her with a new acquired male last monday. Today, while cleanin up the terrarium I found this thing in it among the faeces. Anyone knows what is it? The male are still with the female, so its from one of them. Thanks a lot

I'd get him out of there asap and clean the tank as thoroughly as possible.

It probably is the gecko equivalent of diarhea and could indicate a sick gecko (i.e. parasites or a virus)

You should always observe a quarantine period before putting a newly acquired gecko in with others. Some folks say this should be as long as 60 days or so.

BTW, not trying to sound harsh at all. It could be something else but if you don't know for sure then I'd say assume the worst (diarhea).

I just keep my 3 geckos separate at all times.

I dont think its diahrreia
The male was in a quarentene cage for 65days and one faeces test was done and no problems were detected.

I've never dealt with adult males or breeding geckos, but I'd guess that's a sperm plug. Lookslike the plugs my male snakes will leave around every once and a while...

I'm almost certain Loes don't plug. also i hope you kept that mess. Pics can be deceiving but those lumps look like egg shells and there are 2 of them coincidentally. if that is the case i ask this: Did you chack for follicles or ovum developing in the female? what do you use for calcium suppliment? -phillip

Unfortunately I did not check the females ovum. For calcium resource I keep a calcium carbonate dish disponible at all times.
thanks

The things that looks like the shell are the dryed surface of the mess which I moved.
