so i know i dont post here very often, but i just wanted to share that the runt of the 06 clutch ate a live pinkie the other night after two months of being force fed mouse thighs, i know mouse thighs are an interesting choice but i figuered that i would rip one off a frozen mouse before i thawed it out for my big king, and thaw it and force feed because it had some meat and bone content, well the other night i left a live pinkie in with little Runt and checked the next morning and saw a sizable lump in his belly. well thanks for reading

I know the joy of seeing a problem feeder eat for the first time. I have two of my problem feeders eating live now finally, as well. I don't consider myself out of the clear until they have eaten at least three meals IN A ROW. Thats the key part for me. Good luck on the future feedings!

yeah getting them to eat is one hurdle, having them keep it down is another, and then repeating that is the next and so on and so on, but he has taken a step in the right direction and that is what is important

i too have a problem feeder that has started to eat consistantly. he ate once right out of the egg and then did not eat for 1 month then ate again and then again not for a month and has now taken pinks 2 weeks in a row. i still have probaly 8 non feeders but i hope they come around.

YEAH... why do they do that?? out of 15 hatchlings 14 ate right out of the egg. and since then 6 have been non-feeders.... whats up with that?? did they wanna try something new and not like it? i was wondering if it was only me, but i guess not...

My thayeri are good....no eggs this year but i will try again next year, i have a pair that will be starting cooling in about 4-6 weeks, so i have my fingers crossed, i keep adding more to my collection so they are going strong, thanks for asking

how big do thayeri get?? mine is VERY tiny... only like 5" and eatting brained day old pinkies. do they get the same size as kings? i have 2 adult kings that are about 4=5 feet....

my big male is 38-40" hes a prett good size, the female that he will be breeding too is roughly 34-36 inches, he is about 6 years old and she is three years old. you should stop by the mexicana forum, there is usually good conversation, and really knowledgable people
