First meal downed in seconds

drapert Oct 15, 2006 10:08 AM

Well, my tangerine honduran milksnake got her first meal at my house today, and she literally attacked, drew it into her hide, and hugged it to death before downing it, possibly still squeaking!

Do you suppose she was hungry? (giggle)

I did wait almost a week before feeding her--I wanted her to have an appetite, and I wasn't disappointed!

So now...how long before she gets fed again? I gave her a pinkie, even though the salesman said she was eating fuzzies--they just looked a bit too big to me, and I didn't want to scare her with food that was too big, as she's still quite new...I still have one live pinkie left.

I put one in a plastic bowl downstairs in hopes of finding the eastern milk. I read about halving a 2 liter bottle and putting it on a heating pad. I might just try that instead.

Thanks for the tip!

I would wait about a week to feed again, although you could try again in four days.
