I just cought my little girl draka eating the sand in her enclosure, it's washed playsand but i still don't want her eating it. Aside from covering or removing it, is there a way to keep them from doing that? any one have this problem?

I just cought my little girl draka eating the sand in her enclosure, it's washed playsand but i still don't want her eating it. Aside from covering or removing it, is there a way to keep them from doing that? any one have this problem?
No way to really stop them from licking the sand and eating it. If they are getting sand when eating their food, you can feed on a piece of paper towel or paper. Other than that, the only way to stop them from eating sand is to remove it altogether.

You're going to get a lot of people here saying that sand is bad and to get rid of it.
My Vet is herp specialist and has over 30 years of herp experience. She says washed playsand is perfert for beardies. I wouldn't worry about it.
