Its not cold...

BlueIggy2003 Oct 15, 2006 02:30 PM

My chameleon is acting cold and turning a very dull grey. The room is warm and it has a UVA UVB light, I got it to eat, but I dont know if its used to the drip system I am using. The drips go onto the leaves, and below the leaves is a water bowl to catch it.. what do you think?

What kind of chameleon is it? What temperature is the cage at? Do you not have a basking light? (I'm glad you have a UVB light.)

If the chameleon is cold it won't likely eat or at least won't eat much because it needs to be warm enough to digest its food.

You said..."I dont know if its used to the drip system I am using. The drips go onto the leaves, and below the leaves is a water bowl to catch it"...does it show any signs of dehydration?

it would be helpful to know what type of cage, age of cham, how long have you had it, what do you feed it, how do you gutload your feeders, how do you measure your temps, humidity, do you use supplements?
