handling and care

dj42182 Oct 15, 2006 04:56 PM

Hi, I am possibly interested in getting a blood python one day and I have a couple questions. I read that for their enclosure it is best for them to be kept in something that is well not like an aquarium, something like a sweater box or whatever that doesn't have transparent sides? Also does handling stress out bloods? Thanks for everything and take care
Sincerely,
Dave

Yeah sweater box is better and easier to keep nice and humid. Also have two hides one on the heat and one on the cool side.Use some flexwatt heat tape to heat up.Also shipping does stress out a snake. Its best to have his house ready to go and leave him alone for a few days untill he eats.
