My first beardie....

uaelite Oct 15, 2006 11:53 PM

I offer crickets 3 times daily and he readily eats his fill. I have had him 3 days now and he is about 7-8 inches (tail). What are some tempting veggies to offer as everything I have tried so far he won't even look at. Thanks alot guys. Also, he is currently being held in a 10 gallon. I know that is not sufficient but it is only temporary and I monitor the temps. regularly. If anyone has any design plans for beardie cages all help would be appreciated.

congrats on your new dragon! Kale greens, musturd greens, dandielion greens are liked by beardies, but it is hard to get little ones to eat them and even some adults don't eat them readily. You can try putting the little(nothing bigger then the space between the dragons eyes) crickets on the greens when you feed him, he may at the least get some greens at the same time.
