General question about alligators

jojay327 Oct 16, 2006 02:41 PM

Is it possible to raise an alligator? Thousands of these cute babies must be sold every year, however I never see any ones pictures of three, four and five footers. With a growth rate of a foot a year there should be medium gators everywhere. I just want to see how everyday people care for these animals. (enclosures, feeding ect. ect.) If anyone has pictures of there gators in there adult setups I would love to see them. Thanks.

The sizes that you discuss in your post are the ones that we get in the most. I would say four foot is the average. Many people don't know what they are getting themselves into. It is possible to raise and keep an adult alligator but it is very expensive and consumes alot of time. It is a life commitment. I will try to get pics. Ronnie
