Red Axanthic Co-Dom???

vcaruso15 Oct 16, 2006 06:44 PM

I see alot of het red Axanthics for sale and most have been produced from het to normal breeding. How do you know they are actual hets? Are they co-dom, and if so why hasn't someone come up with some catchy name for them? Thanks Vinnie

Yes they are Co-Dom. You can find Red Axanthics on Davis's site. As for the "catchy name" from what I know Corry Woods got a pair of black backs off of the Sutherlands I think it was, breed them together and bam Red Axanthic. So they are just named Het Red's. Now not all genetic black backs are Het Red's. I'm pretty sure the Sutherlands have some genetic black backs but they are just that. But if I'm wrong someone will correct it. Hope this helps any.

So if the hets are a visible triat, wouldnt the red axanthic be a super?

Yes the Red Axanthic is the super. . . kinda like pastels but the "het" isnt as pretty and the "super" blows everything away lol.
