My new Southern Pine

durrus Oct 16, 2006 07:44 PM

He's a male, 54", 780 grams, a Normal I think. I don't know his age. He's a great lap snake though he has hissed me a few times.

I also have a male Hypo Bull about the same size. I love these guys!

Very nice!!! The southern pines come in a multitude of colors and shades. They get big and bulky but for the most part are pretty laid back. Here is a normal southern (panhandle area) pine usually looks like.

Thanks Guero,
Very nice snake you have there. So, do you consider mine a Normal or could it be a Hypo?
Thanks
Kevin

I guess it would be a variation of a hypo. As John Cherry was telling me a little while back, that you could realistically have just about any variation come from the southern pine snakes. Just to show you some variation, here is a pic of a normal patternless southern and a albino patternless southern.
