Collareds are awesome, , friendly when handled and beautifully colored as well. And chuckwallas are pretty neat, desert iguanas, desert spineys, whiptails, ALOT of desert lizards out there.

But as far as nice pets, I love my collareds and chuckwallas and desert iggy.

hmmm,i like what i see! i was doin some research, and what about frilled lizards? my friend is giving me a 20g long tank that i could put him in

Frilleds are cool if somewhat expensive. I agree with PhEve some collards are really cool and colorful. There are lots of kinds out there, it depends on what exactly you want as far as looks and temperment. Kenn

Some types to check out that are "deserty" are Uromastyx (but need a larger tank. Also Sandfish aka sand swimmer, a small skink type that lives in the sand. The 20 gal tank will limit what you can get. Also be sure to research what they eat, water, heat, etc. Some like the Uro need it very hot 120F to bask, others can only handle around 90F. Some eat only or mostly ants which can get costly, others eat veggies, mice, some even other lizards. Find what you think you want for looks, then check temperment, environment, and diet, also what if anything else they can be housed with. Make sure you set-up the tank, then go for it and enjoy. Kenn
