i wouldnt use it...its small....and if you feed in the cage they will eat it....if it is for show...then i would use something like.....cocanut shavings...if not...then i would just use pine..NO CEDAR!!!!!!!!!!......thats what i use....u can also use paper...newspaper....eheheh

my pals spider died while living on desert snow
his theory was that when he feed his snake the desert snow got stuck on the rat and the spider ate to much of it and it died

just a theory tho

but i wouldnt use desert snow

Hello,

I have used that bedding for a few months and realized that it is too expensive, and tends to mold if kept in racks or poorly ventilated enclosures, However, it is great to show case your animals. If you have been to any reptile expos you will notice that lots of people use it there because it looks really nice. I personally switched to aspen from Desert Snow because it is so widely used, a lot cheaper, and I like it better. As far as feeding goes, any animal feed in it's enclosure where bedding is used is likely to swallow some bedding at one point or another.

thanks guys...those opinions are good enough for me. I'm definitely not going to use it, especially with my spider and pastel. I've been using aspen for some time now, but my cohort decided to pick it up for some reason...go figure
