I know theres alot of very experienced breeders in here and if you could share what you favorite rack system is that be great, I'd like as many opinions as possible.

Well im no experienced breeder (yet), but I just have to give props to animal plastics economy line models. Do yourself a favor and take a look into them. It is only $180 for an economy line rack (yes heat is included!). I have two of them (one more on order) and couldn't be happier for only $180. They are very durable too. -Sam R

I agree with the above post. If you haven't seen ARS caging, do yourself a favor. I do understand the $ aspect of caging, but in the long run, spend the money up front on the best and it won't cost you extra later. And really it's about more than just money; take the time to look at all the offerings before you but. I have one of the ARS large reptile racks and one of the 'other' brand. ARS is superior in every respect; ease of moving the whole rack around, maintaining humidity, maintaining heat, water dish stability, comes with helix DBS 100, plug strip that will accommodate all the plugs. Just my 2c worth

I suppose if you want to compare a $180 rack to a $2000 rack I think we all know which will win out.......or I would hope so anyways. I'm just saying that for $180 my snakes are perfectly healthy with perfect temps and humidity levels. Also easy to clean and take care of system. I would love an ARS,,,,,but I would have to start biking to work to afford it. lol

I realy like Herp Enclosures. They are great racks, very durable, you dont have to worry about warping or bowing. He also has two different lines, a cheaper line and a more exspensive line. They have a website, Herpenclosures.com send him an email his name is Rich, tell him Kim sent you

Hi Kim -

I just took a look at his website. Sorry, but my poor old eyes can't cope with black typeface on a medium blue background. What are people thinking?

Anyway, as near as I could tell heat isn't included with his products?

Thanks,
Joan

He has 2 line one he has heat cable which was an older model and the newer racks have heat tape, but yes they all come with heat installed. He will be at Hamburg with his racks if you are going they are well worth checking out. They are the only "bought" racks i will use now, and we have alot of snakes.

We use Animal Plastics racks and have been very happy with their quality and service. Recently I saw the ARS racks and was very interested in getting one of those. They look to be very cool and I really want to check one out in person. If I like them, we may replace all of our AP racks with these and I can give my girl the AP racks for her leopard geckos
