"Lemon" Pastels

VaranusAqua Oct 17, 2006 04:45 AM

Seems everyone likes to lable thier pastels "Lemon" simply because their snake has some yellow on its sides. In order to produce a full-body lemon wash do you need to breed two lemons together? Because i bought a pastel from nerd and one of his parents is a lemon and he has the darker shadeing down his back.(im not disatisfied with my order at all, nerd lable him "pastel" not "lemon pastel" Are there any breeders who deal exclusivly with true lemons?

That name is a distinction to the line started & developed here.
The snake you got was a MIX....a true Lemon would be labeled different and a bit more money. The problem lies in that Lemons sometimes need to grow a bit to show off their potential and I generally do not bring much to shows, I sell them as they grow. You are right when you say everyone labels theirs as "lemons" which only adds a bit of confusion.
