Corn not eating

brian67 Oct 17, 2006 06:25 AM

Hey guys, I work for a local pet store. Been into reptiles for almost 20 years, mostly pythons and boas. Anyway a customer brought in a baby corn that hasn't eaten for him. His set-up sounds like everything is fine, I tried the pinkie in the little bag trick (not sure if it worked after he left) my question is. Does anyone have any ideas if this didn't work?
thanks.

yes, there are quite a few ideas and methods floating around.
Starting with a live pinkie in a bag or deli cup overnight.

then try "braining" a live pink in bag or deli cup over night.
Braining...not fun but can be effective (I use a razor blade to cut a slit in the head deep enough to cause slight leakage of brain matter)

Taking a skink or anole and scenting the pinkie with this.

Scenting the pinkie with tuna fish water.

These have all been known to work and there are more.

It truly sucks.
This may be a bad way to look at it but I just have to think about which is more important to me, the snake or the pinkie.
