New Rats!!

viborero Oct 17, 2006 12:18 PM

Here's the new kids as of late.

Please forgive the terrible pictures as I am all thumbs with a digital camera. Ignore the incorrect date stamp, also...

Male Baird's. We call him Forrest, cause he's not real bright. He was a pet shop rescue. I know, I know...

Male Everglades. The female is already showing more orange than him, but she would not sit still for the photo shoot.

Female Trans Pecos (!!) She's going into shed, so the colors are crappy in the pics.

Thanks Mark. I love those little Everglades. The female is just pounding down the pinkies, but the male has only eaten sporadically. Any tips?

Also, how's them's Baird's coming along??

P.S.
Do they have Rat Snakes in Turkey?

Sure, Turkey's a great country for ratsnakes...Zamenis longissimus, Z. situla, Z. hohenackeri, and Elaphe quatuorlineata, I believe enter Turkey. There's lots of other cool snakes there too, but I think most are in the mtns and it's almost winter.
