Matt Crabe is a Man of Character

fgs Oct 17, 2006 01:35 PM

A few weeks ago Joel Pretz posted a thread on this forum letting you all know that my big female pastel had died. Matt Crabe read the post and felt so bad about my loss that he called to tell me that he would be happy to give me a snake to replace the one that had died. This wasn't just any snake but the number one daughter from first and only litter the big female had in 05.

Matt and I had only met once before and had kept in contact a few times by e-mail. I hardly even know him.

Matt has done for me what I hope I can do for someone else some day. It's amazing the things I learn from good people.

I met Matt last weekend to bring the female back home. Here are a few photos of the snake he gave back to me along with one of his red albinos.

Matt: Thank you beyond words.

You get what you give. I only know you from your site and a few posts. But even I know you've been an A! guy a long time and deserve to be treated in like kind. here here to both of you. It's great to see people doing not just the right thing, but going above and beyond the right thing.

I met him in Daytona and we have e-mailed a few times since then regarding snakes and I have found him to be both a good guy and honest.

I most certainly second that statement!!!

When, I purchased an Albino female from Matt Crabe...he also gave me a male and female possible het albino as well. I gave that male to Scaleman ...Kevin Healy, who is also a great guy....That female possible het is still with me and she is a very healthy awesome animal...and I do believe she will prove out.
There are others who are not just in this hobby for the money, and although it might not be good for me to add their names here, I will surely say that without them this world would not be as good a place....It really makes them happy that you just really enjoy having their animals....

Matt Crabe is a great guy! I am very glad to have met him, and consider him a good friend.

Thanks Matt,

Andy Federico

Brian,

Thanks so much for this post, although it really wasn't necessary. I'm glad I was able to give you this project back as we both know how nice this line of animals from Chris is. I know it doesn't make up for losing your adult female, but hopefully this girl will grow up to live a healthy, long life.

Also, thanks to everyone else for the nice comments. It has been great getting to know all of you through this forum and some of you in person.
