Anyone use Timothy or Alfalfa rabbit pellets as a staple diet for iguanas?

No, but i read you can use it as long as they don't contain cornmeal and soy. Other than that they are fine. Oh, and caution: you might want to add water or fruit juice to the pellets so it becomes soft and moist for the IG since IG don't drink water that often; they can get dehydrated if you don't; they get most of the moisture from the food they eat. You can also use the alfalfa tablets, that you can buy from the drugstore or health food store, or you can use alfalfa tea leaf; they come in little tea bags which you can just tear open and pour the alfalfa onto the IG's salad.
The staple diet of iguanas must be fresh calcium rich greens
and veggies. I do soak Guinea Pig pellets once or so a week
and add it to the salad. This should not in any way replace'
the greens.
