Feeding a Southern Pine,

durrus Oct 18, 2006 11:43 AM

Another noob question, thanks for your patience.

I just got a male Southern Pine. He is 54" and weighs 780 grams. he looks fit, not overweight. I don't know his age.

What size prey should I feed him and how often? I have rats that are 55 grams (2 oz). Are these considered small or regular sized Rats. I was told to feed my 6 yr old bull (roughly the same size) one of these rats every 2 weeks.

Thanks in advance?

i dont know about yours but my northern pine is 73" (6ft) and she eats 1 fairly large rat every 7-9 days.
so yours being a bit smaller may be ok on a medium sized rat every 7-9 days.
