Zeeks new home (pic)

RedQuake Aug 06, 2003 02:34 PM

This is Zeeks new home, and a pic of him on the hose for the humidifier (i still mist the large plant every night though). Theres one change since the pic, there is now a huge glass bowl in place of the other dishes which i put both crickets and CGD in. The vine that wraps around the tank loops down into the bowl and Zeek sits or hangs from it and gets all of his food without even going into the bowl (still gotta get a pic of that). Most of his day is spent on the leaves of the plant on the far left of the pic, while at night he can be found running around the vine and over to the hammock. In the tank pic, Zeek is on the floor just after pouncing on a cricket.

That's an awfully nice setup (and Crestie) you got there Does the tropic aire setup work to keep the humidity at a good level? I have a 70 gallon for my Cresties (Moose and Kreecher) when they get a little older (and if they are both not male) and having problems getting the humidity above 68. I was thinking of buying the habba mist system, but it is awfully expensive and was looking for alternatives. Anyway, sorry for the rambling!! Everything looks great!!!

Thankyou all, Zeek even watched me set it up, i think he was anticipating the new home hehehe

The tank is a 20gal tall with a screen top. I'm going to look for a new top though cause the whole thing opens and i have already found Zeek sitting ready at the top when its feeding time like he's about to jump out the moment i open it. I'm going to get one with a door, like on my other tanks.

The humidifier keeps the tank between 70-80% but i do mist the left side of the tank every night cause Zeek won't drink from a bowl. If i cover half the top the cage humidity rises too.

I'm pretty sure Zeek is a male, and i do have a 25gal tall tank i am hoping to put 2 females in. He seems happy where he is so i'm leaving him there.

Thanks to all who replied
Hope that answers all of your questions
