Scented or no? Did it take to eating rodents right away?

Nice looking Hognose ~ You can get away with much bigger prey than pinks.
A couple of questions, is your eastern hognose from the south or the north?
How long did it take before this snake was taking rodents on its own (assuming that it is)?
Also wondering, have you tried other food with this snake (aside of Amphibians)?
The reason I ask is because I have found it alot easier to switch prey on Easterns from Southern origins than Northern origins. I would like input from others. Thanks, Leo
I am in Florida, and it takes me an average of 30 to 45 days to get my adults to eat their first mouse ( pretty much don't try until they finish quarantine, thay way they have gotten use to me), and another 30 to 45 to go unscented.

I remember talking to you online for a while about this time last year. I was walking you through incubating some Eastern Hognose eggs. Anyways, how are things this year, any eggs? Thanks, Leo
Skin & Scales
None of those eggs made it(to much humidity), and I lost the entire breeding group to a virus. Got some Tricolors and have hatched out 3 clutches so far. Also have some more easterns now, but missed out on breeding season. Really hoping for another go next year. I still remember all the help and advice. Really broke my heart to lose those clutches after losing the parents.... It was a learning experience and did learn a lot from it. Thanks for all the help, and answering so many questions.
