How to ship big lizards?

I have 2 6 pound tegus that are being shipped to me in a few weeks, from Michigan to Nevada. How?

The best way would be in an insulated shipping crate, but they could be shipped in an insulated cardboard box if it is strong enough (but I wouldn't recommend it. I'd bet on the wood. To know for sure you'd need to ask the one shipping it.
