Anery Vs Ghost ( how to tell)

toppy Oct 20, 2006 08:27 AM

I have had several clutches of Anery hondo's and I see very little difference in the appearance of an anery vs a ghost honduran. The ghost seems to have a slightly more - pale color and maybe less tipping and /or smaller black bands. is that about it???

I have had some very clean anery babies that seem close to the pics of the ghost hondurans I have seen. Is it safe to say you would know if you have a ghost due to the fact that the parents are albino X anery or is it albino X hypo???

let me know - feedback would be great

Thanks
Chris

The most reliable way to tell is after a shed. An anery will have black on its shed and a ghost should be 100% clean.

You should also be able to see the beginning of tipping on anerys and not so much (hopefully 0%!) on the ghosts.

The intensity of black will vary also. Anerys should be a dark and shiny black and the ghosts will be duller.

Hope this helps.
