I have a leo who's about two years old. She was perfectly healthy, stalking her food and eating well, until I gave her to a new family for a month. They returned her to me because she had quickly stopped eating and thought the change in environment was causing it. They had her on antibiotics because the vet didn't know what else to do. I have had her back now for a few weeks and she still won't eat unless I force feed her baby food. She doesn't even acknowlege the meal worms when put in front of her. Everything in her environment is fine and is exactly what she had previously been thriving on. I just realized today that she wasn't reacting to my hand next to her hand, but did react to loud noises. Could it be possible that she has become blind? What do I do if she is? Has anyone had any experience was a blind leo?

im not that guy, but maybe it is to bright in the room where your leo is. leos are nocturnal so their eyes dont work very good in the day. try to keep the room dim for a few days and make sure your leo can hide in something pitch black during the day when it wants to. is your leo an albino? if so their eyes are even more sensitive to the light. try doing this and also what temp is your gecko at? also if you are use sand that is a big NO NO. sand causes impactation of the stomach and kills. use paper towels or slate tiles. you should keep them at about 90 but when a leo isnt eating very well, or at all, i usually try to raise the temps up to about 92 degrees until it starts working again. also you want to make the humidity higher too. to do this you can just mist the cage in the moring and at night. possibly cover the cage 3/4 of the way to trap in the humidity. remember wet and hummid are two different things though, so you dont want puddles or excesive water drops. continue feeding you gecko chicken, beef, or turkey baby food only. you should try to mix vitamin/calcium powder in with it. also when one of my little girls had surgery to have her infected ovaries removed i used a lot of Ensure(vanilla only). this, with an eye dropper, was a lot easier to feed then baby food.
anyhow that is about all for now but try this for a good month, it takes them a while sometimes. I had to hand feed one of mine for about 4 months befor she got better.
also if it really is blind you may notice discoloration of her eyes, cloudieness and so forth. if they are infected you will need to get eye drops or something from the vet. if you also notice any swelling anywhere you will also need to take her to the vet. the sooner the better.
i doubt you live in southern california but if you do i know a very good vet in orange county!! he has saved many many geckos.
