...That snake looks better every time you post pictures of her. You are doing good with her. It looks like she is about half grown. I will bet that she will become more orange and prettier over the next year.

It means a lot to get such a great compliment from someone like you
She looks better every time I open her tub, she's growing so much! It like she's responding to having the right living conditions or something, as crazy as that seems...
...."Responding to the right living conditions"? That is not so crazy sounding. It is exactly why she is doing so well with the scales looking smooth and rounded and shiny. 95 percent of the problems people have with these snakes are bacause they keep them improperly.

I don't think that's crazy at all. I bought a new female that I wanted to bring into my breeding colony last year. When she arrived, I wasn't too impressed. She was underweight, dingy looking and mean as hell. I thought I had been taken. Now (6 months later) she's filled out nicely and has taken on a nice red sheen. Good care just brings out the best in these animals.
By the way, I love your enthusiasm you have for the snake. That's what keeping these guys is really all about.

sorry, sarcasm doesn't travel well in writing, i guess... *grins*
she's definitely appreciating the humidity, that's for sure. She's always burrowed down into her cypress mulch, often with only her head poking out. It's quite cute...
