and noticed a funny thing, people post pics of their reptiles, those that are supposed to be REALLY orange or red, and they change the color in the photo, why can i tell? purple fingers and hands holding the supposed REALLY red or orange reptile, their skin looks like their body is void of oxygen and other colors just looking outta whack, just was browsing using google image and noticed this, really kinda funny....maybe messed up cameras, im not sure, just sad that people will misrepresent animals like that, and try and sell em like that....its gotta come back to them at some point ;p

When I notice things like that I laugh. I stay far away from people with purple hands I would think that it comes back and bites them in the butt after someone buys it and it's brown, or yellow. Well, there is always the excuse that the camera is broken. Really got to match the pics up with stuff that is in the background. Once I saw a pick with a orange coca cola in the backround. You would think they would look at it themselves and see that there fingers are really not that color.

I know what you mean but I'll tell you something. I noticed in my pics of the babies that I'm holding in my hand, when I take a pic, that my hands really look red too. I honestly didn't change anything but the size of the pic. Anyway, from now on I'm going to try and take pics without holding them provided they don't run away..LOL.
Take care,
Karen

definatly was not directed at you or anyone imparticular, your hands look regular "hand color" its when they look purple blue that ya gotta wonder , im really talking about blatently obvious pics where the color has been altered, i just dont get how someone can sell an animal like that, just totally misrepresented.

My hand tends to look red if I use the flash on my camera for some reason...I take all my pictures outside without a flash.

Thats why I have it stated VERY clearly on my site that I do NOT alter pictures to make my dragons look better than they actually are. I also do not advertise babies sprayed with water or in the sink, etc. 99% of my babies arrive looking better than they did on my site, this way I never get an unhappy customer complaining about the color of their new baby.

That generally happens when somebody is trying to make a non red dragon look red. Sometimes it is so blatant. I figure as long as they aren't trying to sell the dragon...

Here's an example of the "purple fingers." This picture is unaltered:

and this is super crazy red Pumpkin held by a purple alien

the sad thing is... I am a Graphic Designer and I have had people actually ask me if I can touch up their pics...

since this is my profession I can easily touch up pics of dragons with outh making the purple hand effect...

but till this day the only photos I have ever messed with are photos of furniture (I work for a furniture design company).

I would never ever use my "skills" for anything shady...
