Frog Question and running out of time

Sinster Oct 20, 2006 08:55 PM

I had a very strange thing happened to me tonight. I was watching a South Park Episode and one of the charector was doing a show and tell of his Frog.. he said that difference between a toad and a frog is that a frog say ribbit. This is the freaky part and the gods honest truth I see something out the corner of my eye and I see this huge frog jumping across my floor. Well anyways right now it's 58 F out and is only suppose to get to 63 tomorrow. Can I release this bugger? If I release it will it survive?

Yes you can release it. Frogs will generally burrow when it gets cold enough. Remember this, they manage to be here year to year regardless of the weather. I understand your concern, but it'll be okay.

I release the big guy yesterday. It was cool but the sun was high and I placed him in the sun. I was surprised he didn't take off at first. I patted him for a few he just hunched his back and croaked a little, went in the house for about 5 minutes he still hadn't high tailed it out. He eventually went on his way about 1/2 hr. later.
