Just a suggestion for those wanting an outdoor cage for big reptiles. I built mine out of a 12' x 8' x 6' (LxWxH) chain link dog run. I put some smaller wire across the top, left a few inches on each side so I could bend it down and wire it to the sides. Dug a trench deep enough to cover the bottom rail and set the pen in it, then packed the dirt back on top of rail. I have a small tree in mine (trimmed to fit) plus some large logs hanging in various locations. I also put a small childrens wading pool in there. Once the grass starts to grow over the trench, it anchors it to the ground pretty tight. I also have some vines growing up the chain link, which I think looks pretty cool. I use this for my 3' iguana or my 12' burmese. The door does have a place for a padlock, but for safety's sake, I only leave them in there if I'm home. For anyone with critters who like to dig (like monitors), I would suggest putting some wire across the bottom as well. Worked for me, just thought I would throw the idea out there for anyone else needing a large cage.
