...A stuck eyecap can stay on until the next shed and usually causes no problem. You can do damage to the eye trying to get hold of the edge of the eyecap and pull it off. You could try soaking the snake and then see if the eyecap is soft enough that it will come off with very gentle rub with your fingertip. If it does not come off very easily it is better to leave it alone. How did the rest of the shed come off of the snake? If all in one piece that is good. If it came off in small pieces and tatters the problem is that the snake is too dry. Occasionally a shed will come off all in one piece except for one of the eyecaps. They often do not get noticed by the keeper and just come off with the next shed.
