Burmese questions

trauma47645 Oct 21, 2006 11:52 AM

Hi i have recently aquired a young albino burmese through a rescue. I have experience with quite a few other boids (mostly on the smaller side) and I have a question with this burm. I recently seem to be finding a liquid discharge underneath her. She spends alot of time in her hide box, which could be typical of her. She is eating fine, taking two medium to large mice once a week, though i have had her in my possession for 3 weeks and she has not defecated ( I feel no hard lumps or masses in her body and she doesnt seem distended). Her eyes have become cloudy in the last week which I think is due to her entering her shedding cycle, but they have remained cloudy longer than any of the other boids I own. Does anyone have any ideas as to what is going on with this snake?

i've had my female for about a year - she's about 8-9 feet now - and only defecates once a month unloess i give her a bath - and i feed her every week although the meals are not overly large - i think she uses most of the food, as far as shedding, i wouldn't worry about how long her eyes are blue, but i would bath her or spray her after they clear up to give her an easy shed
