Breeding failure???

nymph Oct 21, 2006 01:50 PM

Well, it has been just about a month since Nigel and Navi bred and she does not look lumpy at all. I don't think that the breeding was a success. Should I try again or am I just being to impatient?? Thanks.

I hope I remember correctly...these are veileds, right?

You can show the female to the male by holding her outside his cage so that they can both see each other. If her reaction is calm and her colors are not dark, then she is not likely gravid. If he is reacting appropriately towards her, then they can be mated again. If she is swaying, hissing, has dark background colors when she sees him, then you will have to wait to mate them until another time.

Good luck!
