Snow Pastel Motleys

JustinMitcham Oct 21, 2006 08:45 PM

Here's an interesting snow line, basically these are albino pastels, pastels being a type of Ghost so I guess adding the amel gene makes them a type of Snow. Pastels (especially the males) have really nice pinks in them, these tend to get much better with age and do not fade out. I also love the bright yellow highlights you see on them. Hope you like these pics..tell me what you think of them.

They ARE a type of Snow because of the addition of the amelanism gene.

Since corns homozygous for amel/hypo/aneryA are known as Coral Snows, the common tradename for corns homo for amel/hypo/aneryA AND motley are 'Coral Snow Motleys'...

Corns homo for amel/hypo/aneryA and stripe? Coral Snow Stripes.

Great looking corns you have there.
I much prefer the Coral Snow pattern morphs to regular Snow pattern morphs since the Corals hold their colours/contrast better than the 'regular' Snows.

Just a curiosity; are BOTH animals pictured Corals? And if so, I'm guessing the animal in the first two photos is male, with the animal in the last photo being female...? (MALE Coral Snows and MALE Ghosts, afterall, are traditionally more colourful than females.)
