For some reason my little boy didn't shed in one piece, which happens..well, never.
Do you think it's too dry? He can go down in his bowl, and I saw him working at the shed last night before I went out.
Maybe a calcium defficiency?

This is most likely a humidity problem. If you are using a glass aquarium with a screen top,try covering it partially to keep some of that humidity in.Also how are you heating the enclosure? I have known some people to use lights, and they will also dry things out and make shedding difficult.Hope this helps you out.

He has a light and a pad. Should I try putting a humid hide in like I have for my geckos?
If you are using a heat light and a heat pad the light is really not needed, the pad will be sufficient. If you want to light the tank use fluoresent lighting.A humid hide couldnt hurt unless he spend too much time in there, then too much moisture could cause certain skin ailments.Make sure you use it only during the time he is in shed.I believe if you use the heat pad only, and cover the lid partially over your water source it will solve your shedding problem.
