My russian LOVES bushes. I was going to plant one in his cage, but when I look on the edible/not page on .org, they're all just..weeds.
Has anyone planted anything in their cage that has hide room, yet isn't bad for their torts?
Thanks.

All of these are edible.
Hibiscus Hosta Sedum Chrysanthemum Geranium Petunia
go to any nursery in southern CA and get a mallow (Lavadera) bush - gets fairly big and the leaves and blossoms are great tort food, and it's very hardy.
Do they stay fairly small height wise, or is it something I can trim down?
Lavatera would be the best, but they can get 6 or7 feet high. Hebe is a good small shrub for an enclosure, and your tortoise probably won't eat it, so it will last.
