Tortoise Christmas ornament

PHRatz Oct 22, 2006 10:18 AM

A few years ago I started collecting animal ornaments that represent the pets I have, to hang on my tree. On eBay & at Hobby Lobby I've found crabs, birds, dogs, frogs, mice/rats.. you name it so I have all those now.. I can't find a good looking gecko though so far... still looking for that.
There's a Christmas store here that opens every Sept. & then closes in Feb. and they carry a mid priced brand of tree ornaments called Old World. In the past I've bought a couple of turtle ornaments made by that brand at that store.
This year they have a new one & it's a desert tortoise. I bought it even though it's green & doesn't look just like a real desert tortoise but it's got the elephant feet. LOL
I thought those feet looked so cool & it was under 10 bucks.
Anyway I just thought if there's anybody out there like me who has to have an ornament to represent each of your pets, there's a tortoise out there this year.
I'm not endorsing websites but I think if you Googled the words Christmas ornaments-desert tortoise you could find it online if you don't have a local store carrying it.
