White Scale Tipping on Albino Honduran

tspuckler Oct 22, 2006 10:34 AM

Has anyone else ever seen this?
It appears that white is taking the place of where black would be on the scale tips. At first I thought the snake was in shed, but it's getting more white "tipping" as it ages (it's only 3 years old).

Yes,....that would be expected for a specimen that would normally have some black tipping. I have a little white tipping on one of my albino "tangerines" also. You know how it goes,........take away the black, and you're left with white. If it was a super clean bloodline with no tipping before the albinism was introduced, then the albino snakes produced would not have much(if any) black suffusion(tipping)......take care.................D. I read the reply post I made, and meant to say "WHITE" suffusion (tipping), not black, when referring to the albinos, just in case people wanted to flood me with correction posts(ha-ha).............D. Mong
